This is a really nice campground, but it does have a little work to do. The camp store is very sparse in its supplies. They do however have a pretty big selection of videos that you can "rent" for FREE. They also have a large supply of books for the "free" reading club. Take a book/Leave a book. The problems I noted wee that the WiFi is very LIMITED, based on your site. We were down by the bike/walking path and could not get a signal, I walked down the road and sat at a picnic table in sight of the office and had a decent signal. I just believe that if you advertise WiFi, it should be available at ALL sites. We use the internet while camping to research and plan activities for the area we are camping in. Also, on many sites, it is a long way to the sewer drain. We had to get a longer hose. The office sells one brand, if you do not have the same brand, they will happily sell you a very long kit for $70.00. We got directions to the Wal-Mart 25 minutes away and saved 40 bucks. Be sure you have plenty of sewer hose, or spot yourself in before you set the landing gear. It is a new campground, so growing pains are to be expected. There really is no draw to the area unless you want to go to Belterra. If you do plan on going, let them know at the office. They have a shuttle arrangement that Belterra will come pick you and your money up.

After much searching and other campgrounds we have previously used being booked tight, we tried Pine Mountain. We could not have been happier. The staff was superb, park immaculate, can't say enough about the bathrooms and showers. The ONLY downfall is the lack of shade and established trees, but the place is new. It is in the middle of Pigeon Forge, and 2 blocks off the parkway. The solitude would let you believe you were miles away. Our 5 Y/O DD fell and busted her lip running around. When the staff in the officer heard her crying they came running. Once they found out she was O.K., they made a big deal over her and brought her into the office and let her pick out a popsicle "on the house". We fought downpours off and on over the weekend and it so nice to have the firerings in a gravel area and paved roads and paved LEVEL pads. This is going to be our campground of choice from now on when we come to Gatlinburg. The hotel across the street has 2 pools, workout room, 2 hot tubs, and a lazy river that are all available for your use since both are owned by the same owners.

We have stayed at better KOA's. We booked this trip 4 weeks in advance since they were advertising it as "Mother's Day" and "Kamp for Kids" weekend. As part of their promotion you paid for Friday night and got Saturday night for free. We requested a pull-thru, full-hook up, with cable and were charged $54.00 w/out a frequent user card. We arrived and were directed to a site right in the middle of a row of seasonals, many of which had been there for quite some time and were really ratty looking. For an extra $15.00 a night you can get on a "patio" site. These have concrete patio's. elevated firepits, etc. The one thing we noticed were most of the sewer connections were up hill from the site they serviced and they averaged 6" to 8" above ground level. Unless you had a macerator or some other means of pumping water up hill you were stuck. The "dump station" is right up front by the entrance and again, up hill and off angle. To dump the tanks you have to run the right wheels up on some boards, not really do-able if the unit is lined up. On the positive side, the shower house attached to the office was excellent. There is quite a bit of things for the kids but everything comes with a fee attached. The golf was $4.00/round, and $10.00 per 1/2 hour to rent the bikes. We just feel that for $54.00 and more a night, more things should be included in the pricing.
